Insurance

I am not an in-network provider for any insurance carriers, however you may be able to utilize your out-of-network benefits, health savings account (HSA) or, flexible spending account (FSA) for sessions. I encourage prospective clients to contact their insurance company to request information in writing about what coverage they have for out-of-network benefits. You will pay for your sessions on the day of your appointment and will be given an itemized receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Many client have found that due to high deductibles with their insurance plans, they will need to pay out of pocket for much, if not all, of their therapy services and find benefit in working with someone whom they feel is a good fit for them, rather than who their plan dictates.

I decided not to work directly with insurance companies for several reasons, the foremost being that I think that it enables me to provide the best services possible to my clients. To learn more, read here.

Notice of Good faith estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
